Ferrari 246 GT
Magnificently presented LHD 246 GT 'Dino' finished in Blue with Sabbia.
The Dino range of sports cars was named in honour of Enzo Ferrari's son, Alfredino, who designed a dual overhead-camshaft V6 engine for both road and racing use before tragically passing away at the age of 24. The 206GT was the first model to be introduced in 1967, proving that Ferrari could compete with the likes of Porsche by producing a car in the more budget end of the sports car spectrum.
After 150 206s were produced, the updated 246 GT was introduced, boasting a bigger and more powerful engine; noticeable quicker than its predecessor. Weighing only 2,400 pounds, the perfect weight distribution of the Dino thanks to its Mid-Engine layout was one of the defining features of the car, one of the all time great handing Ferraris, on top of being one of the most beautiful.
This 246 GT is a stunning LHD example that is now UK registered and showing only 27,500 miles on the clock. The car has just been subject to new paint, as well as a complete retrim and sits in a classic Blue on Sabbia combination. Further, the car has also enjoyed extensive body and mechanical works making it one of the nicest Dinos on the market. This is not only the perfect car for a Sunday drive, but also a real long-term investment opportunity, suitable for any true Ferrari collection.
