Ford RS200 with just over 3,500 miles - fantastic investment potential
Amidst the rise of Group B Rallying in the early 1980s, Ford set about the realisation of the RS200; the companies finest creation since the GT40. Competing with icons such as the Lancia Delta S4 and Audi Quattro S1, Ford revealed their RS200 in 1984 and the Ghia designed body was instantly recognisable as a future classic.
The mid-mounted 1.8-litre Cosworth engine produces around 250bhp in the road car, and with its front-mounted gearbox, the RS200 is one of the most balanced supercars ever to be produced; as brilliant to drive as it is to look at. Further, this perfect set up delivered much success in competition, with RS200s gaining a total of 19 wins in its short Group B career before the category was closed due to safety concerns.
We are pleased to offer a stunning RS200 original road car with just under 6,000 KM showing and very good all round condition. The RS200 is a fantastic car to both drive, but also one that caries great investment potential. All of the group B homologation cars have recently appreciated, and the Ford especially has a lot more room to move, not only a great car for now but also the future.
