Alfa Romeo RZ
1996 Alfa Romeo RZ finished in Giallo with Nero Hide. Number 187 of just 284 produced and showing just under 37,000 KM.
The Alfa Romeo SZ was revealed in 1989 at the Geneva Salon, reviving a tradition of Zagato-bodied Alfa specials. Original referred to as the ES-30, the styling of the SZ was instantly recognised as the work of zagato, with the striped rear light being a defining feature.
Powered by a 206 bhp version of Alfa's 3 litre four cam V6, the SZ is a car that commanded great attention in period, with demand for the 1,000 or so coupes far outstripping the supply.
Naturally, demand for the SZ remains incredibly strong today, however the much rarer RZ is a car that demands even more attention; not only a more striking design, but individually numbered of just 350 cars.
In fact, production of the 'Roadster Zagato' was halted at just 284 units as the Zagato factory went into receivership, making the RZ the lowest production Alfa Romeo ever produced, and to this day one of the most striking.
The 3 official colour combinations for the RZ were yellow or red with black and black with burgundy; the car we are offering is presented in probably the strongest specification of the Giallo with Nero and sits in very good overall condition.
Showing just under 37,000 KM, this RZ is sure to be a true collectors item in the coming years; not only an incredibly rare and striking vehicle, but one that is usable and fun to drive.
