Delivery Mileage 1992 Testarossa with just over 200KM from new.
Produced between 1984 and 1991, the Ferrari Testarossa symbolises the frivolous and excessive days of the 1980s better than no other supercar. So vivid was the design, it quickly became the bedroom poster car of many a young (and older) enthusiast, gaining further notoriety as one of the cars featured in Michael Mann’s TV series, ‘Miami Vice’.
The low, sleek and aggressive Pininfarina design, featuring its iconic straked side vents (designed to both direct air into the twin rear radiators which are either side of the engine bay and conform with modern safety standards), was unveiled at the 1984 Paris Motor Show as the larger and improved successor to the 512i BB.
Underneath it came fitted with a 4.9 litre flat 12 cylinder engine that produced 390bhp; propelling its 1506kg from 0 to 60mph in just 5.2 seconds - topping out at 180mph.
The example offered here is a 1992 LHD variant with just over 200Km from new and at the end of 2014 it had over £10,000 spent on making it drive ready. The car has spent time abroad, including South Africa, and represents a fantastic investment opportunity as the late 1980s era continues to gather pace in the market.
