Porsche 993 RS
1995 Porshce 993 RS with factory fitted Aerokit; the last of the air-cooled 911s.
The Porsche 993 RS was an updated version of the companies already successful 993 generation of the 911, and is one of the fastest and last air-cooled cars to come from the brand. The RS is based on the Carrera Cup competition car, and was in fact used as a homologation vehicle for a number of racing categories.
The vehicle was only offered new to the European market; fitted with a 3.8 flat-six capable of 300 bhp, from possible the finest air-cooled engine ever fitted in the back of a 911. On top of the engine, the car took a number of other traits from its motorsport background, mainly based around weight saving, such as removing the headliner and central locking, to leave a total mass of sub 1,300 KG.
The vehicle we are offering is presented complete with cage and deletion of much of the interior trim, as well as the fitting of recaro bucket seats, a full interior roll-cage and Momo steering wheel. In addition, the car also comes with GT2-style arches and gold BBS alloys. Further, the car is also fitted with RSR aero-kit from factory, including the larger rear wing and front lip spoiler.
All of these factors serve to add to the stunning Speed Yellow exterior, probably the strongest colour for the model. The vehicle is UK registered and has covered 61,150 KM and sits in very good overall condition.
With the Porsche market strengthening by the day, the 993 RS is not only a sublime car to drive, it also ticks all of the boxes for a fantastic investment; the last and probably greatest naturally aspirated air-cooled 911.
